is at KLIA, loking like a lazy business woman, sipping Teh C ya all

Hello dear readers, I wished I could change my lifestyle to become the topic I wrote above. I wished I could have a career that keeps me always on the move, and let me be at the edge of everything. I wished to be popular..

I am now waiting to board a flight to somewhere near, it'll be one of the place where I yarn to go all the time. GUESS??

Connected to this free wifi for 2 hours in KLIA is .. I would say quite efficient considering its speed and reloading time. Each time I am en-route to somewhere, I would definitely turn on the laptop and enjoy some couple of hours surfing. Well done KLIA and MAB. Infact, just seconds ago, I discovered a new "added value" of service... Me, having my light meal and Teh C at Jonker's cafe (near Gate B area) was taken by surprised to a soft announcement of "Assalamualaikum"... on the speaker of KLIA. " Sekarang diumumkan sudah masuk waktu solat Zohor bagi kawansan Sepang, Kuala Lumpur dan kawasan2 sekitarnya." .. Well, to my surprise, this is the first I heard such announcement in KLIA, one of the busiest airport in the world. It may have been a new initiative, or it is already been practiced long time ago... Pity me, am I the last person to know? Well, whatever it is, I am truly glad to see there is an initiative to add another effortless service at one of the most well known airport in the world, barulah sepadan dengan nama Malaysia negara Islam. Well Done again.

Happy Eidulfitri

Dear fellow friends. Ramadhan have passed, Syawal is here. The two very significant Islamic month. It is the way we celebrate Eid in my home country, everywhere we go, the ambiance of these two holy months are most enchanting. If you are in Malaysia, you'll never regret coming at this time around as this will be the busiest and most happening time throughout the year.

Iftar at our bachelor pad was held in the 2nd week of Ramadhan. Around 15 close friends showed up at our humble place, bringing lots of other delicious foods that compensated our cooking shortcomings. Imagine we only finished shopping the main ingredients with 3 hours left before iftar.

Here are the outcome.

Ramadhan Almubarak.. MasyaAllah, masih lagi kita bertemu tahun ini.

Allah Almighty is where the source of every strength power will come from. Its only in you that you need to steer your beliefs, and you to confide to feel that the help is always there. With Allah's will, everything will follow suit. Have you read about The Secret? Have a read here then... If you do 1 small charity today, observe... that in some way or another, the deed will be repay back, whether you realise it or not. As what was written in "La Tahzan-Muslimah" - to get your dream come true, fulfill others dreams and it will come back to you. Isn't it easy? You can start by being polite to your parents, being polite on the road while driving, giving sincere smile to a stranger that's sitting next to you on the bus, pressing the lift button open to let a fellow stranger to get on it. The list will go on and on. The Real Secret is... SINCERITY in doing CHARITY. InsyaAllah, with Allah will, things will come back good to you in the form of whether its an easy parking space in high peak parking time at the popular shopping mall, or empty seat on the LRT during peak office hours, up to even winning the hearts of our bosses during the period of our Work Appraisal.

Beauty lies on the eyes of the beholder... Life is easy if you think that it is...

Mum, I'm a Muslim

This was the story on Astro which I watched last night on Channel 106 (Oasis). Astro did a good job in promoting spiritual well being, by injecting these elements into our daily lives.. and they are doing it pretty well. This particular story is of a British girl who converted to become a Muslim, married a Yemeni and there's this other girl who just found Islam which she already embraced and coming home to meet her parents and by then, broke the news to them. All these women wearing hijjab and covers their aurat well. 

Allah has stated in the Quran that women must guard their modesty.
" Say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty ; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof. " [Quran : 24.31]

" Say to the believing man that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty ; that will make for greater purity for them, and God is well acquainted with all they do. " [Quran : 24.30]

 

There's this one part here, I cannot really agree to what they were saying. You know, these could mean sending the wrong message to the world. The interviewer asked her all the thing about hijjab. How are you getting used to wearing it, do they ever get in your way, etc etc.. Being a dominant lady and outspoken, she answered its what she wants. She wanted to protect her self. She did not wanted men to stare at her and attracted to her. Which she really did it quite well (she asked the cameraman whether he thinks she's attractive..) because her hijjab were not carefully put in place, all ruffled (not ironed). 

From THe Islamic Dress Code:

2.Our dress should provide adornment. It should provide for decent appearance. Our appearance should not be an eyesore for decent human beings. For men, this extends the coverage requirements to include most of the body. For women, the essential requirement is that their dress should identify them as respectable ladies who would be honored not harassed. Additionally, hijab rules aim at protecting them from the gaze of other men.

We all accept that it is Islam's way of life to dress moderately, neatly, nicely, clean. But there's also a part to add on to it....your appearance should not be an eyesore for ither... so, it is OK to add some scent so that we don't give off "odourous" or "unwanted" smell which will make others feeling discomfort. This is why Islam taught you (and me and them) to be neat and tidy and in moderate. Islam does not specify it to follow a certain tradition or a certain culture.

Some of my Ustazah who taught me Agama (Primary School Subject), I should say, don't really take care of these issues you know.. which in turn, does not leave a good impression on me later on, I mean, I was questioning myself why do I need to wear hijjab if it means sweating up in there? Ladies and ladies, Not to say that I'm all into make ups and dolled up to make me face look pretty (because I don't), I'm only commenting that Muslim women should take care of their personality in total. YES to hijjab, YES to moderate dressing, YES to neat and tidy and YES to facial & spa visit (I like)! Don't people respect you more with good appearance and good personality? Don't your husbands love you more for dressing up for them?

I say this to myself, and others who share the same views as I am.
